•• OVERALL PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION ;;
Dax is average height and weight. His attitude however changes how he is perceived. Because emotion shows so well on his face, he would be perceived as more threatening when he is angry than when he isn’t. This isn’t to say that his face is always wrought with emotions, but that when he is overwhelmed by emotions it shows very clearly on his face.
The scars that Dax has are both from the style of life he led prior to becoming a paramedic. Formerly being a thief, he often found himself in trouble. His own family in an attempt to break him from that life style would lash him when they caught him stealing. The stab wound is due to him trying to steal from a mobster and getting caught. He was stabbed and left for dead, but someone found him and took him to a hospital. Due to the length of time he went untreated, and type of blade used, the wound did not heal up properly and the scar is nasty and ragged.
More notable feature may be added if and when he is infected.

•• PERSONALITY ;;
Dax is very withdrawn from the world. He is angry at what the world has become and angry with himself because of his past. Contrary to disassociating himself with the world, he does interact with it. He sees pain and strife every day and tries to alleviate it whenever he can. Also when he sees something wrong, he tries to fix it. This often causes him to be viewed as cocky or a smartass because he corrects people when they make minor mistakes, but it has also gotten him into trouble by trying to stop criminal activity only causing himself to be put in danger.
Dax is afraid to get close to anyone, because he is afraid that they will get hurt or die and he won’t be able to help them. Those he was formerly close to died and he blames himself and the world for it. After they died, he withdrew himself. Though he is afraid of getting close to anyone whether friends or lovers, he really needs it. Without someone there to protect him from his own thoughts, he will fall into depression.
He sees no light in the world anymore, but as a payment for his past, he is trying to be a light in the dark and dismal world. He is working to become a doctor to help anyone he can to make up for being a detriment to the world in his past. He recognizes that he was lucky to turn his life around and is now trying to make up for it.
Dax tries to find adventure in life, otherwise it is not worth living. If he is just working to work than there is no point. Every day is an adventure to him and without that he views himself as nothing. His brain simply works in that poetic nature. His life is a poem, and he loves it and fears it at the same time. Poems and adventures have two good endings. Either it’s a happy ending or a sad one, but either way there is allot of strife that lead to that ending. He views himself as in that strife, but soon things will change. Things will get better, but the question is will it be a happy ending or a sad one.

•• HISTORY ;;
Dax as a child was much like any other child, but he was the troublemaker. This was a defense mechanism though. He obtained attention by causing trouble because he feared being ignored or made fun of and not being able to control it. (brief note: He isn’t exactly sure how he got an English accent, but it is believe that he picked it up from an elementary school teacher because there were no other influences with an English accent that could have given it to him) When he hit high school, he became a new level of trouble maker. He wasn’t obnoxious or a disruption in class anymore. He instead got in fights and stole whenever an opportunity presented itself even if he didn’t want what he was stealing. After a while it became an addiction.
His parents were aware of his kleptomania and tried to punish him for it. They tried every reasonable thing they could think of, but nothing helped. The even let him go to a prison for a short period of time. That only made things worse. After trying every reasonable means, they began to simply whip his bare back when they caught him stealing something. This also had no effect.
The factor that actually caused Dax to stop his kleptomania was when he tried to steal from a member of the mob. The man did not take kindly to Dax trying to take his wallet and stabbed him. He took his still body and threw it in a dumpster, even though Dax was still alive. The wound was severe enough that he was fading in and out of consciousness for the next hour. That’s when someone found him and took him to a hospital. It was a miracle, according to the doctor, that he was still alive because of how much blood he lost. After that incident, Dax saw a need to change and went to counseling for his kleptomania.
Even through all the trouble that Dax caused his family, they remained by his side. They loved him even though all he returned was hatred. They encouraged Dax to find a profession and to go back to school for it. He had formerly been living off of what he stole and now had no income. It is also notable that the infection was spreading more widely across the world at this point in Dax’s history. Dax began schooling to become a licensed paramedic. From there he decided to become a doctor, but never had the guts to go beyond medical school.
An odd turn of events happened when all of the attention left Dax and went to his brother. His brother had gained bestial traits and odd abilities. Dax’s parents of course were very supportive and encouraged his brother in his new found abilities. They however had to leave the United States due to the intolerance there. Dax stayed behind.
Dax focused solely on his career. He was a paramedic now and he was saving lives. His life changed though when a new co-worker came to work with him. Her name was Rachel Wood. She and he noticed a spark between them almost immediately and they began to date. He had never loved anyone more. He had been in high school flings, but this time he was serious. He bought an engagement ring and planned to propose to her when he could plan a good time to make an event out of it. Things however changed. She followed in his brother’s footsteps and began showing signs of bestiality. That didn’t matter to him though. They could move together to Europe. They could take residence with his parents until he could find a job. They’d get married and cope with her new abilities and features.
All went as planned, they moved to Britain, where his parents were. There, he found a job. Everything was great, but then hunters started lurking. They seemed to suspect his family and fiancée, but had no proof. Eventually Dax lost it and confronted the group of hunters. They deserved to die if they wanted to kill Rachel. This however only gave the hunters reason to strike. His family was killed one by one. It all happened within one day, but it was obvious that they were doing it to spite Dax. By five in the afternoon, Rachel was the only one still alive of his family. He was able to find her before the hunters got to her. He grabbed her and hugged her. His mind was whirling with ideas of how to escape safely when a bullet struck his fiancée. She was now bleeding and dying in his hands. The precision of the bullet was immaculate. The hunter hit its target and Dax was unharmed. The manner in which he killed her, he knew that the hunter was doing this because he had confronted him. He knew that it was personal. When he thought he had saved his one love, the hunter took it away from him. The hunter didn’t kill him though. He knew that Dax wasn’t infected and he wanted him to suffer.
Dax fell into a deep depression. He continued to work and push through the pain. He just hated himself for not being able to save his fiancée. He hated himself for being a catalyst for the hunters and he saw no light in the world anymore. After some time had passed and he had thoroughly grieved, he made a resolution. He was a darkness in the world. He had been the cause to extinguish four lights that shone brighter than any he had ever seen; because of that, he would become a light in the dark dismal world even though he was the only one still in existence.
