chester has always been described as a handsome guy. he's broad shouldered and muscular with tanned skin, though he is more on the paler side of tanned showing his heritage. his eyes are blue and mysterious, always with a hint of hostility and distrust. more often than not, they're narrowed in a glare or glowing with some strong emotion varying from deep sadness to uncontrollable rage - there is usually no in between with him. on his face there also tends to be some facial hair. not much, but enough to show his masculinity. his facial hair, like the hair on his head, is a brown-ginger color. not ginger enough to be considered a red head but not yet dark enough to be a true brunette. his hair is kept short though there are the rare occasions when he lets it grow out. this doesn't happen very often but it has happened before.

•• SECRETS ;; he is completely and utterly terrified of demons and anything else related to anything demonic - such as vampires or fallen angels. just being in the same room as them is enough to make him suffer from one of his black outs and go into a complete, psychotic rage. during these episodes, he has no control at all whatsoever and will attack anyone who comes near him, no matter who or what they are.

chester has changed a lot over the years. he started off as a sweet little boy... but now he is bitter, cold, violent. he doesn't socialize well, not in the slightest, and has little to no self-control. he's loud, aggressive, and frequently ends up in a fight over the smallest of issues. look at him wrong and he'll snap, panic, paranoid that you're out to kill him. he has severe paranoia, can't go anywhere without becoming completely and utterly convinced that he's going to die or be attacked. he firmly believes that there are demons of all sorts out looking for him, waiting around every corner, lurking in every shadow. demons are his greatest fear, his greatest weakness, and when confronted with anything that even remotely resembles a demon, he will go berserk. even when he isn't completely out of control, chester is still highly unpredictable and impulsive. he has terrible trouble controlling himself. if he wants something, he'll get it. if he wants to do something, he'll do it. try stopping him and you might very well end up in the hospital. or dead. don't become his enemy. it might end up being one of the last things you ever do.

before speaking of chester's life, we must first look at the lives of his parents - charlotte and charles. they were high school sweethearts, the perfect love story. charlotte was a successful model and a devout christian and charles was the bad boy that swept her off her feet - a biker and singer in a hard rock band. they met when she was a freshman and he was a second year senior and within weeks, they were in love. they became your typical movie high school couple, rulers of the school, obeyed by all, loved by many, and hated by some. life was good, for the most part. charlotte's parents did not immediately approve of charles but he worked hard to gain their acceptance.

after charlotte graduated from high school, her and charles were married. it was a huge wedding, everyone was invited, and the couple seemed nothing less than perfect. they went on a honeymoon to hawaii and when they returned, they moved to charles' hometown, des moines, so that he could further pursue his music career. charlotte fully supported her husband though when she found out she was pregnant a few weeks after their wedding, things became a bit more tense between them, but once chester was born, things seemed to balance out.

chester's life started out just like the life of any other little boy. he was spoiled by his mother and disciplined by his father and was quickly "adopted" by his father's band, giving him plenty of aunts and uncles and cousins - none of them blood related, but family, all the same. it was obvious that he was an intelligent young boy as well as an introvert; chester had never been one to go out and make friends or really talk. he preferred to sit by himself, taking one of his father's cds and sitting alone in his room to listen to it.

life was not going to continue all fine and dandy for long, however. charlotte fell ill when he was thirteen, a fragile, tender, age for anyone, and it may have been the turning point for him. after the funeral, chester slowly became more and more distant, cold, bitter. his father, worried, put him in therapy but this caused chester to push everyone away even more, refusing to go to any of the sessions and thus never being diagnosed with any mental disorders, even though many were suspected. his life went on this way, filled with anger and aggression. he got in plenty of fights and made many enemies and few friends.

at eighteen, after graduating high school, he joined the marines. he excelled in the training, almost frighteningly so, but life was about to take yet another drastic turn. it was during a tour in iraq, he was a squad leader. he doesn't remember much. just the ied, the screams, the explosion... then silence. terrible silence. he woke up surrounded by people he didn't know. terrorists, at least that's what he thought, until they told him the truth.

they were impressed with him and his leadership abilities, his strength, his brutality. they had rescued him from the blast, saved him while sacrificing the lives of his men. he'd been in a coma for three months, honorably discharged from the military, and now left in the hands of the hunters. he had been given the vaccination a week prior to him waking up, it is suspected that the vaccine in the reason for him waking up so soon, and after a few more weeks of training with other hunters, he was released into the world.

he looked for his father, going to his childhood home, and found a terrible sight. a demon attacking his father, the last blood relative that he had. he arrived just a few moments too late. his father was gone... but chester made sure to take the demon's life as well.
